A director is an officer of the company. The record does not automatically establish share ownership or beneficial ownership.
Name matching has limits
Different people can share a name, and spelling or formatting can vary between filings.
Dates matter
A former appointment should not be presented as a current directorship. Always check the recorded status and dates.
